Tidy Font Finder is a browser extension that identifies the fonts used on web pages. It is built to collect as close to nothing as possible.
Font inspection happens entirely inside your browser, on the page you are viewing, only when you start it. Your history and favorites (a Pro feature) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage and never leave your device. The extension contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no remote code. It does not read, collect, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
activeTab and scripting let the extension run its font inspector on the current tab — only after you click the button in the popup, and only on that tab. The extension has no standing access to any website. storage saves your preferences, history, and favorites locally.
Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, ExtensionPay handles the checkout and stores the email address you provide to manage your licence; the extension only queries ExtensionPay to check whether your copy is licensed. We never see or store your card details. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties, other than the payment processing described above. There is nothing else to share.
